Requirements 

  • At least 5 years experience in a PR agency, ideally with a B2B focus
  • Bachelors Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or related field
  • Preferred knowledge of healthcare environment and healthcare technology with the ability to speak and write intelligently on these topics
  • 1-2 years of leadership and/or account management experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of social media platforms
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Quickly grasp new technologies and account duties
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Outgoing personality; ability to effectively interact with team members
  • Highly motivated, highly organized
  • Proactive attitude
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally

Key Responsibilities

Client relations

  • Work as part of an account team to develop and execute integrated communications strategies, including public relations, marketing, digital and social media initiatives
  • Develop meaningful relationships with clients and become recognized as main point of contact
  • Identify client's short and long-term goals, translating strategic objectives into traditional and online public relations tactics, marketing programs, and social media campaigns

Media relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with appropriate members of the media to facilitate advantageous placement of articles and releases
  • Review and ensure consistent messaging on bylined articles, case studies, etc.
  • Respond to media inquiries, develop media lists, pitch stories, identify editorial calendar opportunities, etc.
  • Stay abreast of social media tools, platforms and trends and provide recommendations to improve social media campaigns

Team support

  • Manage team resources to meet client commitments
  • Meet multiple and concurrent deadlines, individually and for any team members
  • Manage budgets
  • Facilitate and participate in meetings with design and digital teams to brainstorm and determine direction
  • Lead by example, and train and member junior staff
